Neko Bay

One of the striking things about the Antarctic landscape is the lack of scale. Mountains look like hills. In the photo on the right, what seems to be a small boat is in fact, a ship (below).

Shattered rocks.

This rock outcrop is close to the glacier snout. Each crack or ledge in the rocks has small rocks stacked in it. The small rocks are of all different kinds, and are all sharp-edged.

Icefall

Icefall on the glacier overhanging the bay. We heard and saw explosions from such falls throughout our time ashore, but this was the only one we captured on film.
